Grow (image)
So I am sitting in the foyer of our gym listing to our image band (image ) pratice for service. Since we started the group we have had at most 60 well last week we had 82 (Growth). Growth is a big part of our life and walk with god. If we don’t have growth in our soul we won’t grow closer with god we would stand still. Image has grown a lot since we started. Our first service was in the gym and had 60 we were in the gym about one and a half months. We than moved to the foyer and have a coffee house feel going and we have grown. Our pastor answers the call when he goes deeper in the bible. We all qantto grow deeper in our walk and life with god and the best way is a small group our service. Our church has seen it’s growth and we are still growing. Image is a college group where students can come to feed deeper in the bible. The band is full of college age adults looking to grow deeper and serve our group.

Hummmm…. fellowship…
So i know i have not posted a lot this year but this will change….
As i sit in my mentor’s (Roy Hooker) house watching the Rays game the word fellowship come to mind.
Fellowship is as Websters says (community of interest, activity, feeling, or experience). A good way to fellowship is at church. It can be in a small group or in a service or out side in the foyer after service..
This past Sunday as i walked in to the foyer of our main building the Big House as we call it, i see a lot of people hanging around and talking. Now this was after our 9:30am service and the next service started at 11:45am. I am seeing more and more people hanging around and talking about life and other things. It is so cool to people stay for a long time. Next time you get the chance stay and talk.

Thinking
So i know i have not posted in a while and i have to say wow….
I was standing in iO (high school group) during worship and was looking at the stage and all i could see was 199 high school students with there hands rasied and worshiping god!!!
so ya life has been good working a lot we have been working on the stage in the big house (pics to come soon)
Faith pt. 2
So i know this is a little late about 2 months…. but i finally am gonna write pt 2.
But first my weekend was great i had it off from church and did some great things. I went to church on Saturday night and sat in service for those who know me i don’t get to go to service much since i work in the zone. Then Sunday i did not wake up till 12:30 man that felt good. Then at 3:30 i get to Roy H. house and CC is on the front porch and so is Chris the first thing CC says to me is “Your bring me home leftovers” no hi or you look good but i want to eat leftovers and if i was in her place i would to.. you see Roy and Geine Hooker were taking me to Burn’s. Those in Tampa know that this is the steakhouse of all steakhouses. Well i had a great time it was the tree of us and little Joe and his girlfriend. So that was my great weekend.
Now back to Faith pt. 2.
So my mom and i came to GFC on March 24, 2002 Palm Sunday that night me and my brother were coming to 180 but at the last min. he back out and i came. I take that as his faith slipping through. Since then we have lost our mom. His faith was gone. Now he wants to talk about the evaluation and how the bible is wrong.
So thats all i have to say if you would like to talk about any thing i say in my blog i have two words….

Faith pt. 1
So today we kicked off our first youth basketball league at grace today. The turn out for the first set of practices was amazing and to see the kids out there learning form the coaches was great. I am coaching two teams a 3rd-4th grade team and a 5th-6th grade team. The heart form my kids was great we have our first game this Saturday at the church and i cant wait!! The premise of the league is to spread faith through fun and sports and that was the case tonight whit my team with encouragement and teaching. I have a great group of kids and what is good is it teaches the kids about faith through sports and keeps them active. And the faith comes into play when we do a devotion during the half on game day.
As you can read i am hitting on faith a lot as we get older you tend to lose faith in things like your car that it will work, a relationship that will fall apart, or the number one thing God. The reason i bring this up is in my 21 years on this earth i have lost faith in God and i think every one has. First things first a little background on me i have a 20 yo. brother and he is an atheist. He stop believing in god because i did not feel that fire that i had when we were young. Before Grace we went to a couple of churches he was baptized at one of those churches and was a great Christian but he just lost faith. We went through some bad times after we started coming to grace he did not want to set foot in a church cause he did not “believe” that there was a higher bean. Now my family minus my brother started coming to grace in ’02 Palm Sunday is our anniversary at grace. That is where i will leave off.
Also as i write this i have the game on in the other room and all i have to say is go SEC!!!

Gone
I not posted in awhile…….. well i am back. I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off. with thousand stars, Christmas and new years i have not had time to do a blog.. Now i know what your saying i need to make time well your right i do need to make time so i am going to make time to write and i thank my good friend Adam for letting me know how important it is to let things out. So for now on i will be writing at night before i go to sleep.

Gone
So i will be gone till Sunday night i will be at a retreat… i will be serving 36 men and getting close to god. Please be praying for the 150 men that will be there.
Life
So i was walking in the courtyard at my church and saw this tree and started to wonder…. a tree needs light and food to grow just like us we need light(god) and food(bible) to live.
What i am saying is the bible feeds our soul and we need to watch what we put in our body cause if you give a tree poisoned water it will die you put stuff like pornography and “r” rated movies and other things you will surly kill your soul like the tree that has poisoned water.
Night of 1000 Stars
So tonight we start shooting for Night of 1000 Stars, our annual volunteer appreciation event in Dec. 6th. But the long part is the shooting from 7pm to 12am tonight…. but i am ok with it since it is for our volunteers and we cant do anything with out them…. and it is going to be along night.. but what i can say is i am going to be shooting this with my friends and it is going to be fun and funny. Now all i am going to say is it is going to be a great night.
Tonight
So after iO a group of my friends went to applebees like we do every Sunday night to get half price appetizers, and we started talking bout old times and different things….. and all of a sudden we started talking bout an old friend Brandon Dawson.. Adam Skinner started talking bout the night we tried to find a hunted house and could not find it but what brought it up was he was in the back of his dads truck.
On my ride home i was listing to the band cd from to night and noticed some things i did not hear during the service… Man it tells you that every time you hear something the second or third time you learn more. What i am getting at is to read the same passage in the bible more than once but not back to back… Now that is something i struggle with and it is hard for me to do that. But i thought i would give that little tidbit from my ride home!
